MT4 and MT5 Brokers With Rebates: Platform Support Is Only the First Filter
A broker supporting MT4 or MT5 is not enough; compare rebate eligibility, symbol cost, account type, reporting cycle, execution limits and withdrawal rules.

Frame the decision correctly
“MT4 or MT5 broker with rebates” is not a complete answer. It only says the broker or account may trade on that platform. It does not prove rebate eligibility or low cost.
The real question is whether the account, platform, symbol and reporting rule all qualify for rebate at the same time.
CloudSpeed view
CloudSpeed treats platform support as the first filter, not the decision. Rebate value still depends on account type, symbol cost, post-rebate net cost, payout cycle and withdrawal path.
If an MT5 account supports more products but a target symbol is not rebate-eligible, it may not be better for the trader. If an MT4 account has clearer costs, stable EAs and cleaner rebate rules, it can be more practical.
How to compare
First, confirm account attribution. Rebates usually depend on an opening link, partnership relationship or account assignment, not just the platform installed.
Second, confirm the symbol. XAUUSD, EURUSD, indices, crypto CFDs and other products can have different rebate rules. A symbol being tradable does not mean it is rebate-eligible.
Third, compare net cost. A larger rebate does not automatically make the account cheaper. Spread, commission, slippage, swap and rebate must sit inside the same Net Trading Cost model.
Platform support and rebate reporting are different
A broker can show platform support on the front end while back-office reports are separated by account type, platform, entity or symbol. Seeing a trade in the terminal does not mean the rebate report has been received and accepted.
When a trader asks “I traded on MT5, why is there no rebate?”, the right check is attribution, symbol eligibility, order rules and reporting cycle, not platform alone.
Details traders often miss
The account type is the most common missed field. Standard, Raw, Ultra Low and ECN accounts can have different rebate rates and different cost structures.
The second missed field is trading restriction. Some accounts allow manual trading but limit scalping, news trading, arbitrage, very short holding or high-frequency EAs. Rebate rules may exclude abnormal orders too.
Pre-deposit decision check
- Platform: confirm whether the real account supports MT4, MT5 or both.
- Attribution: confirm the account was opened or assigned under the right relationship.
- Symbol eligibility: confirm the target product receives rebate.
- Cost structure: compare spread, commission, swap, slippage and post-rebate net cost.
- Payout cycle: confirm daily, weekly or another payout schedule.
- EA limits: check scalping, news, arbitrage and short-hold rules.
- Reporting rule: ask whether reporting is split by platform or account type.
- Withdrawal method: rebates matter only if funds can move out clearly.
What should you remember?
Choosing an MT4 or MT5 rebate broker is not about finding a platform-support list. It is about finding an account where platform, account type, symbol, cost and rebate rule all work together.
Platform support is the first filter. Post-rebate net cost is closer to the real decision.
FAQ
Can MT4 and MT5 rebate terms differ at the same broker?
Yes. Rebate eligibility can depend on platform, account type, symbol, entity, reporting cycle and whether the account was opened through the correct relationship.
